How much will therapy cost me?
Cost is $120-$150/hour and sessions are a full 1 hour long and are generally conducted on a weekly basis to start based on the level of clinical severity and ethical needs. We do offer 90 minute sessions and monthly family 120 minute recharge sessions as well ($225-300).
If you cannot afford therapy, please reach out to see if there are any sliding scale slots available for those who may qualify.

I accept check, cash, card and HSA/FSA insurance cards. I do not contract with any insurance companies or provide an Out-Of-Network superbill. While I do understand utilizing your insurance company can be financially helpful, many clients do not understand the limitations and impact of using your health insurance for therapy services. Here are some of the things a client should know prior to utilizing health insurance for mental health coverage:

-
In order to bill a health insurance company, clinicians must report a diagnosis to prove medical necessity for treatment. This diagnosis is a permanent part of your medical record and history and can be found by life insurance companies, government entities, court systems and anyone who is given access to your medical records. For military, it is part of your military record as a soldier.
-
Medical Necessity: A health insurance company is in charge of deciding whether your therapy is necessary or not. Insurance companies do not deem many mental health struggles as well as family/couple struggles as medically necessary and will only pay for certain "codes" that the clinician inputs into a generic system.
At any time, they may cancel your services and refuse paying for your sessions, leaving you responsible for the full cost of your sessions and you may not find out for weeks/months after your sessions. -
Health Insurance Companies limit the amount of sessions a client can have and use skewed statistics to determine how many sessions you are allowed as a client. They control the treatment plan through this as well as limit the things we are "allowed" to do in session as a therapist.
-
Your treatment plan and records can be reviewed at any time by your insurance company and therapist are required to turn these forms over for their access. This helps them, once again, determine your medical necessity and well-being needs.
-
Your privacy is very important to me and therefore, keeping your medical records and the things we do in session at the highest level of privacy and working at your pace as a client is extremely valuable to the healing process. Insurance company rules are based off of numbers gathered since the 1970s and not relationally based or understanding of human nature and human connection. It's like having an AI deem what is necessary for you as a unique human individual.
